Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. ‘Preston Counselling Associates’ are a group of highly experienced, qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists who help clients in Preston and the surrounding areas. We offer a safe, confidential, supportive and understanding environment for you to talk and explore your experiences, feelings and needs, enabling growth and change to happen.

Our practice was founded in 2009 by Cheryl King, and was previously known as ‘Cheryl King Counselling Associates’.

We offer counselling relating to a wide range of issues, and work with individuals of all ages, couples and families.

We are individually registered and/or accredited by BACP (the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by its code of ethics and good practice.

We were both very nervous about starting counselling and felt quite embarrassed that we couldn’t sort out our difficulties ourselves. We were not really sure what to expect and we weren’t entirely confident it would help. However, counselling exceeded our expectations. I was very nervous to begin with but was soon put at ease by Cheryl. In fact once I began to open up I found I had so much that I wanted to say.
