My name is Cheryl King and I am an experienced, accredited Counsellor and Supervisor. Together with my team of experienced Associate Counsellors I offer counselling relating to a wide range of issues. We are individually registered and/or accredited by BACP (the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by its code of ethics and good practice.

Cheryl King Cheryl King accreditations

Cheryl King

Cheryl has broad experience of counselling a wide range of people of all ages, on both a short term and long term basis. She has worked full-time in private practice since 2009 working with both private clients and EAPs. Previously Cheryl worked part-time in education where she counselled children, young people and staff. She has also had broad experience working for a number of organisations, is a BUPA Recognised Mental Health Therapist and holds a current enhanced DBS certificate. Cheryl offers person-centred, integrative and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) counselling.

Cheryl is also an experienced counselling supervisor who clinically supervises the work of other counsellors and healthcare professionals. She holds a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision, among other relevant qualifications.

Gary Stubbington Gary Stubbington accreditations

Gary Stubbington

Gary is a highly experienced counsellor who has been in practice for over 16 years in various organisations in the North West and on the South Coast. In addition to his current private practice work, Gary has worked within the NHS and also in private sector organisations such as BUPA. His previous work spans a broad range of issues with clients of all ages from 5 upwards. He has worked extensively with trauma, depression and anxiety, relationship issues, sexual abuse and bereavement among other issues.

Gary believes in integrated theory and draws on a number of theoretical traditions and approaches in his work with clients. Gary trained at Southampton University and the Metanoia Institute in London. In addition to being BACP registered and accredited, he is a UKRC Registered Independent Counsellor.

Linda Middleton Linda Middleton accreditations

Linda Middleton

Linda is an experienced BACP registered counsellor, who has extensive experience working with a range of clients with issues including stress, anxiety, bereavement, relationship difficulties, abuse, depression, anger, and self-esteem.

She has worked with several organisations and counselling agencies and in addition to her private practice work also counsels clients with bereavement and loss at a local hospice. Person-centred therapy is at the core of Linda’s approach. She also works with other therapies including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).

In addition to her private practice and voluntary counselling work, Linda is a restorative justice qualified practitioner and works in mediation and restorative justice in the childrens sector.

Sam Whittaker Sam Whittaker accreditations

Sam Whittaker

Sam is a BACP registered integrative counsellor with experience in a wide range of issues including addiction, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, depression, stress, cancer, bereavement and loss, bullying, low self esteem, relationship issues and abuse. In addition, Sam offers specialist experience in working with disability and difference, having worked extensively with a national disability charity. Before counselling, Sam worked for blue-chip companies in London, gaining a solid understanding of the corporate world to complement her counselling skills.

Sam holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and is currently working towards completion of her Masters Degree. Sam’s integrative approach enables her to tailor her work to meet the individual needs of her clients.

Susan Tulloch Susan Tulloch accreditations

Susan Tulloch

Sue is an experienced and qualified BACP registered counsellor who works with individuals, families and young people covering a broad range of issues including anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, bereavement and loss, bullying, low self-esteem, self-harm, panic attacks and relationship issues. Sue is also experienced at working with perinatal and postnatal depression. Sue’s approach is rooted in the person-centred tradition and she focusses on meeting individual client needs and working together in a trusting environment. She is highly experienced in working with children and young people and holds postgraduate certificates in early years and education in addition to an enhanced DBS certificate.

In addition to her private practice work, Sue has worked in an educational setting for many years. She counsels for the NHS in schools and the local community and also works on a voluntary basis with adults and young people for the YMCA.

Richard Bullen Richard Bullen accreditations

Richard Bullen

Richard is a BACP registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist who works from therapy rooms in central Preston. He deals with a broad range of clients covering a variety of issues including bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, anxiety, stress, depression, addiction and substance abuse, and anger management. Richard has particular experience of working with children and young people, and has worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist in the voluntary sector in Preston and Blackburn, including particular experience with addiction and substance abuse rehabilitation services such as “Inspire”.

Richard holds a Masters Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and a BSc Degree in Psychology among other qualifications.
